Attendance: All Board of Directors were in attendance, Members and Friends of Table Grapes.

3:00 MORE PRUNING & TRAINING
(Wrap up, a visit to the U of I vineyard for more pruning and training if there is enough interest.)

• Principles of Production: Presentation given by Dr. Essie Fallahi

• Pruning Your Vineyard: Went to location in Fruitland with hands on training.
Trainers: Dr. Essie Fallahi, Tom Elias, John Davis.

• Returned from Fruitland and had lunch

• Prevention, Recognition and Treatment of Grape Diseases: Presentation given
by Tom Tankersly from Wilber Ellis.

General Meeting: Shortened General Meeting
President Davis informed members, that the ISDA are doing studies for disease & pests control.
He also told the members that the ISDA will review the current 1970 law pertaining to root stock. We could see some new rules on how the ISDA controls the root stock in the state of Idaho. So he urged our member to make sure they get clean root stock from reportable root stock sources.

President Davis brought up the issue of last years boxes that did not get used. He asked the group what they wanted to do with the old boxes.

Motion: To go ahead and use the current stock of boxes as well proceed with the development of new boxes and order new boxes.
Motion: Passed

Treasurers Report

Treasurer Joe Morton reported current assets listed below and the report was accepted by the membership.

Marketing/Sale Committee

Jonathan let the members know that Logo and Slogan contest is extended to end of March.

He gave members a short report on JC Watson cold storage facility. Preliminary numbers for storage for
1700 to 2700 square feet approximate cost $110 per day or $3200. 00, per month.

Quality Control:
There was discussion on USDA Grades of the grapes. Included in the discussion was size of grapes and brix. Question to answer is where to grade in field or at storage? After all these decisions are made the information would be posted on the web site.

It was also suggested that the new boxes have a space on it for the grade.

John informed the members that he has access to a crew if anyone needs labor. Cost is $10-$10.50 per person per hour.

Association Name Questioned by Visitors:
Susan Roghani and Jim Zamzow, brought up the name of our association, they felt that the use of the word Snake has negative connotations with the use of the word Snake for our marketing.
Marketing people explained to them why the name had been chosen, that they would take their advice and review it at a later date. Also Susan was invited to sit on the marketing committee and she accepted.

Member Announcement of Event:
Pat Phillips made an announcement for Grapes & Wines of the Snake River Valley-Learn about table grapes and grape wine production in the Snake River Valley American Viticulture area. She asked we post on web site and invite our membership.

Adjournment: Motion to adjourn was made and passed at 3: 00 p.m.
